As a child, Russ Fadil always found himself helping his relatives with their car repairs. He especially enjoyed helping to rebuild the high-performance engines of the day, including a 1968 GTO and 1970 LT1 Corvette. “Seeing the inner workings of how things were put together and what made them tick was fascinating to me. I would say that put me on a trajectory towards engineering school in Buffalo N.Y., and ultimately to auto repair and maintenance,” Russ said.

With an auto repair background dating back to 1987 in Westchester County N.Y., he ran a gas station, repair shop and AAA Road Service facility, before relocating to the Tampa area in 1998 with his wife, a registered nurse. Formerly an employee, Russ is now the owner of European Autohaus in Lutz.

The specialty service shop in Lutz opened its doors twenty years ago and has built its reputation on European auto service expertise. They are Bosch Certified and accredited by the Better Business Bureau. “Decades later, we’re still head and shoulders above all other shops in this area because we provide a higher standard for import service,” Russ noted. European Autohaus service teams are ASE Certified to meet and exceed their customer’s expectations.

When asked what he enjoys most about his business, Russ replied, “Resolving repair issues on a customer’s vehicle is a great feeling. While some problems are much more difficult to pinpoint, and often out of the reach of other shops, they are also the most rewarding.” Russ continued, “In this business, we meet all kinds of people and enjoy getting to know them.”
